City Perkasie State PA Comments: I've witness a very large sum of these african american stage plays through out the years i've been in the business of theater from perry to talbert even as far back as shelly, you name it . Lawrence's presentation i must agree is the first i've ever witness caucasian patrons attending in record numbers. Not only did they attend but they enjoyed the performance immensely. The piece was not only well written but had a universal appeal. My boss even sat in on the entire performance which is extremely rare. I've seen him do that on one other occasion in the fifteen years i've been here and that was at a tyler performance and he didn't watch the entire show. I normally don't entertain forums or chat sessions but was intrigued buy the topix and thought my insight was from a total different and inside perspective. Mr Lawrence my hat goes off to you and your talented staff.

The song you wrote for her mothers love had me in tears the song was so true to the heart and could have not been written or performed better. Kudos to you JD and the entire cast it has been some time that a stage play with this momentum has come.

Brother what a talent (How did you change so quick? lol) I've been a perry fan for years and I've seen so many other stage plays and comedians come along and try to duplicate what Tyler has done and none have come even close. Let me just say for the record my brother you nailed it with your own unique style of comedy that I've not seen in this genre before. It was very broadway, tasteful and hysterical all in one We even cancelled choir rehearsal to see your performance and it was well worth the money and time. I did see Tyler's marriage counselor and the two don't compare I also purchased your book and will read it this weekend Mrs. Faye White, J.D.

You came with your own style and it was different from Tyler, dog I never laughed so hard I even brought my mom and my sister back to see the show. It was still just as stupid the way you went from character to character was out of this world. I have never seen that ever in theater it was like on some eddie murphy tip. Seriously you are putting all them theater director cats like David, Donald and im ready to shame thats real talk all day fam gets yours baby. I'm a fan. |
