I just had to write on how my family and I enjoyed J.D. Lawrence staged play "Clean Up Woman" in Chicago last night. This was our first time ever seeing his plays nor have we ever heard of him. The play was HILARIOUS!!!! That Christopher Williams all I can say is why has he not put out a CD. The man can BLOW!!! And J.D. Lawrence is truly gifted with his many characters. He's too funny!!!! Yes, Mr. Lawrence please bring out "Clean UP Woman 2"!!! I'm so glad that others can put out good staged plays then the same ole same ole. I'm not hating on the others. It's just refreshing to see someone else for a change. God Bless you Mr. Lawrence and I'll will continue support you when you come back to Chicago.

My husband and I seen your play last night and we LOVED IT! You kept the entertainment going even through intermission. Just fabulous. He is now willing to see other plays. The characters were great. I particularly enjoyed all the phrases with each individual relating to other roles they previous played. That was very comical. Beautifully done. Much luck and prosperity to you. I laughed often & enjoyed myself. It was good to experience something a little different. Not to compare, but I feel the "Madea" creator (apparently this site won't accept me entering his name which I respect that) is a great entrepreneur and certainly don't begrudge the brother and his success, but I've lost interest in his plays/movies as they all seem to be so similar, just with different titles. Hopefully, JD Lawrence's work will continue to be different. It's obvious you have a lot more to offer as a director, producer, singer, playwright, actor, writer, dancer and comedian. No disrespect to George but you were funnier actually much funnier. I look forward to big things from you and I will be looking for your new sitcom on GMC.

I went to see your play Clean Up Women last night Thursday April 2, 2009 in Chicago at the Aries Crown Theater. IT WAS GREAT. I enjoyed myself from the beginning of the play, during intermission, (the music was great and kept the house rocking), until after the play in the lobby. With all of the laughing and singing everyone still understood all of the messages you presented in the play. I will check your website often to see what you are doing. Thank you for the personal autograph.

April 2nd was my birthday and also opening night here in Chicago for your stage play 'The Clean-Up Woman', I must commend you on a job well done! I can't think of anything else better that I could have done to celebrate my Birthday. For the price I paid for my ticket I have to let the world know you got more than what you paid for...I mean when I left there I felt like I had seen a play, went to the comedy club, and ended the night at a club with your DJ. It was well worth every penny. You continue to be Blessed and will see you soon when you return to Chicago with your next endeavor.

This play was so good, I looked at it Saturday night and Sunday night in Houston, Texas I went with my coworker and friends for her birthday and decided I wanted my male friend to see it. So, we went the next night. I got balcony seats the next day and just enjoyed myself again especially the in between jam session. Keep up the good work. May God continue to bless your career.
Sincerely,
Mary Henry

JD, I was suprised by my husband with tickets to "The Clean Up Woman" in Rockford, IL. Thank you for bringing your play to our city. I have grown up in Rockford since 1973, and I am so glad we finally have some black entertainment coming here. I was so touched by the way you made it so innocent. You took our mind on a trip that was full of God's grace, laughter, music, and reconciliation. Keep me posted please on any other plays you have coming to our city, our little city called Rockford, IL. Thank you so much!!

Mr.Lawrence, this has to be one of the best productions to ever come to Houston. I've never seen one of your productions so of course at first I was skeptical. Not only did I enjoy it I came back two nights in a row with several folk lol I was like a walking billboard for your show lol. Great job and I so look forward to CUW PT2.

My husband James & I attended The Clean Up Woman performance last night (03/29/09) in Houston. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and were amazed at the multifaceted talent of JD! Also, we were very pleased with the cast and of course pleasantly surprised with Fred Hammond! We laughed hysterically!!Actually, we were part of the fun during a scene referring to Down Low. We were seated on the front row and JD came off the stage and was face-to-face with us! My husband was cracking up (which he's normally very serious) and I had to ask him - did you set this up? Funny thing is he's a Harris County Sheriff's Deputy and said if any of his co-workers were there last night - he'd never hear the end of it! :-) Again, we enjoyed the show and had a GREAT time and look forward to Part II!
Thanks!
Gigi
