WOW! I saw The Clean Up Woman once with my friends and then I took my Mom. Love the story and the acting JD Lawrence! Jackee, Telma and Christopher Williams rocked! It was nice to see Trisha Mann who was in David Talberts play with Malik Yoba a while back in His Woman His Wife. I enjoyed her performance then but she and Christopher really make you relate to their characters in this play. Can't wait to see them all again. I will pass the word!

Yes it's French lol our seniors did a bus trip to pa for the clean up woman I didn't go cause it didn't sound appealing to me. until they came back with pictures and music you name it. So myself and some other members went the next night of course we had nose bleed seats but the production was all that and a bag of chips. I think Lawrence exceptionally writes from top to bottom. Lawrence stories make since and have closure thank God.

I don't think it's a good look to compare these to brothers they are both extremely talented in what they do individually on stage and on screen. You don't see Matt Damon going up against Brad Pitt. Why do we do this? JD and Tyler are opening up doors everyday with movies, sitcoms and stageplays and it's forums like this, that are trying to close those same doors. Lets not not fall into the trap folk. Lets help both of them build Black/Hollywood for our black people.

He's from the great white way so he's bringing a whole different element to this genre. My church attended Colorblind off broadway by JD Lawrence about a year ago and it was fabulous. Let the records show. I just think JD has something special about him and as I'm writing my husband says out-loud the anointing and I agree. The writing the message even the comedy very tasteful. We will be at the Merriam center aisle.
